UL Bohs Women’s Team got off to a flying start

UL Bohs Women’s Team got off to a flying start to the AIL Div 1 by defeating Highfield by 55 points to Nil.

Match Report: John Keane

The first score of the game (on 3 minutes) was a result of UL Bohs scrum securing the ball on the visitor’s 22 and this was followed up by some clinical passing which eventually saw Niamh Kavanagh crossing for a well taken try. This was followed 9 minutes later with Aine Staunton making one of her strong attacking runs and scoring try number two which was converted by Niamh Briggs. Briggs was again hand a few minutes later for try number three. UL Bohs were in control for much of the play and again showing their dominance secured the fourth and bonus point try scored by Edel Murphy. Just before the halftime whistle Aine Staunton got try number 5 for the home side. Looking good at 27 points to Nil.
